Decadent Puppy Chow

This sweet puppy chow recipe makes for a decadent treat. It's easy to make and the end result tastes just like candy. Makes a party-sized batch that is perfect to share with your family and friends!

Ingredients needed: peanut butter, powdered sugar, baking chocolate chips, butter, Chex Mix cereal.

Preparing Puppy Chow

Melt 1/2 stick butter and 1 cup of chocolate chips in a pan on medium heat. Stir occasionally to keep from burning the chocolate.

Once the chocolate has melted, add 1/2 cup of peanut butter to the mixture, stir until melted and mixed evenly.

Remove pan from the heat, pour in around 9 cups of Chex Mix (or about a whole large box.)

Stir Chex Mix lightly until cereal is evenly coated in the chocolate-peanut butter mixture.

Pour 3/4 a cup of powdered sugar into a plastic bag, add chocolate covered cereal while it's still warm.

Shake bag until puppy chow is evenly coated in powdered sugar. Slowly add more powdered sugar if needed.

Now enjoy the treat! Bring this as a snack to a party or share.
